Community Guidelines
Version 2026-09-15
In short
- Be yourself: your own photos, your real age, your real trip.
- A reveal is an invitation, not an obligation. No means no.
- Nothing sexual without clear consent. Nothing at all involving minors.
- No harassment, hate, threats, scams or selling.
- Keep other people’s photos, seat numbers and details to yourself.
Be real
- Use your own first name, your real age and photos that show you.
- Only check in to a terminal you are actually in, for a trip you are actually taking.
- One person, one account. No fake, shared or commercial profiles.
Consent comes first
- Revealing your photo is always optional. Nobody owes anyone a reveal, a reply or a meeting.
- If someone does not answer, declines or blocks you, accept it. Do not contact them through other channels.
- Do not send sexual messages or images unless the other person has clearly said they want them. Never send them to a group.
- Do not pressure anyone to drink, to leave the airport, to change seats, or to share contact details.
Never acceptable
- Anything involving people under 18. We report child sexual abuse material to the authorities.
- Harassment, stalking, threats or intimidation.
- Hate or discrimination based on origin, skin colour, religion, disability, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation or age.
- Violence, or encouraging it.
- Offering or asking for sex for money, and any other commercial solicitation, advertising or spam.
- Scams: asking for money, gift cards, bank details, cryptocurrency or “help with a ticket”.
- Recruiting people for anything illegal, including help to get through security, customs or immigration.
Respect privacy
- A photo or seat number someone revealed to you is for you. Do not screenshot, share or post it anywhere.
- Do not publish what someone told you in a chat or group.
- Do not use Wingmate to find, follow or photograph someone who has not agreed to it.
Groups
- Community groups are shared by up to six people who did not choose each other. Keep it friendly and suitable for everyone in it.
- No flirting at people who have not responded, no sexual content, no selling.
- If someone makes a group uncomfortable, block and report them. You can leave or shuffle to another group at any time.
At the airport
- Follow every instruction of airport staff, security, border officers and airline crew.
- Never ask someone to carry, watch or take anything through security for you.
- Do not let Wingmate make anyone miss boarding.
What happens if the Guidelines are broken
Tap Report on a profile, or write to [reports email]. Reports are confidential; the person reported is not told who reported them. Depending on how serious it is, we may remove content, restrict features, or suspend or delete the account, and we pass on information to the police where the law requires it or someone is in danger. See section 7 of the Terms of Use for how decisions and complaints work.
